The Embassy of Japan, with the cooperation of the Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA) and Japanese Language Teachers in Brunei , has organized the implementing committee for the Japan Foundation Japanese Language Proficiency Test in Brunei December, 2008. The test is conducted annually both in Japan and outside Japan to evaluate and certify the Japanese language proficiency of non-native speakers.
Until last year, Bruneian applicants had to go to Sabah University , Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to take this test. This year, Brunei students can take this test in Brunei on Sunday 7th December. The Second and Forth grade tests will commence from 9:30 am and the First and Third grade tests will start from 13:30 . The venue will be the Chancellor Hall of UBD and details will be informed to applicants in due course.
Application forms which cost B$5 are now available at the cultural section of the Embassy and need to be registered before the deadline of 22nd September. An application fee of B$30 will be charged for each test grade.
The Embassy of Japan expects that many Bruneian will take this opportunity to try the test and that the number of applicants from Brunei this year will increase.
