The word Dikir originates from the Arabic word "Zikir" meaning to remember by way of recitals or chants the Dikir Maulud is a way to remember Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. Lately, the book of the Dikir Maulud Syarafil Annam has been the target of slander, saying that it mentions a number of things that could deviate a person's faith or Aqidah.
Some of the ill-intentioned accusations:
Firstly, they claim the praises for PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W. in the Dikir Syarifafil Annam could cause a person to think Allah the Almighty and the Prophet as similar, placing the creator and his creation as equals, as the purifier of sins, the protector and provider and from whom to seek all a person's wishes.
THE second claim is that "TAWASUL" or supplications using another name, Islam prohibits even the name of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. after the name of Allah the Almighty.
The third accusation disputes the miracles that occurred when the Prophet's Mother was conceiving him.
IN reply to the accusations, the praises in the Dikir Maulud Syarafil Annam are only words of poetry to show one's love for the Prophet and to honour him as the Messenger of Allah, and deliverer of Allah's blessings to the world.
