6th BIMP-EAGA Youth Exchange Programme

Brunei Darussalam will host a Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines East Asean Growth Area (BIMP-Eaga) Friendship Games with the theme 'Cooperation Through Sports'.

Aside from that a youth exchange programme, exhibits and cultural performances as well as a sports administration and nutrition conference are also being lined-up to complement the hosting of the sixth edition of the BIMP-Eaga Games.

The BIMP-EAGA Youth to participate and make better decisions and outcomes in many important areas affecting young people’s life. Youth participation has to be a priority to be fostered at all levels and youth organizations have to be really recognized as vital components to society, local, regional and global societies as a whole. Indeed there is wisdom in bringing together the young people of enhancing awareness and cooperation through an exchange of views, ideas and experiences.

The high total of youth in BIMP-EAGA's region has a huge potential for the human development. Therefore it is indeed in order to develop human capital, such movement among youth in the BIMP-EAGA need to be emphasized. Youth in BIMP-EAGA's region is seen as catalyst to realize and to practice people to people's contact as it is vital for the success of this origin.

Our alumni association, BERSATU is responsible for the homestay programme for the youth participants of BIMP-Eaga Youth Exchange programme and also will be involved in the Community Work and Interaction Programme with local youth.

The Interaction programme and community work will be held on 26 Nov 2008 at Hutan Simpan Berakas from 8.00 am - 5.00 pm.

This morning most of our sub-working committee joined the organiser for scrutny of the venue and also to discuss the activities during the interaction.

Kudo to Ibrahim of PY2001, Nazmo 2005, Pee 2007, G Azlan 2005, Hail 2005 and senpai Yasmoon 1996 and Bembee 2001 for good planning and come up with brilliant activities for this interaction programme.

Our Alumni is still waiting for the latest list of the participants for the allocation during home stay programme in Brunei Darussalam. Wishes our association able to contribute for the cooperation towards sport.
